SL-C Super Light Kit Car

Had to redo the carpet since I had to remove 2 of the harness mounting points on the rear of the seat on the floor, so had to remove the carpet pieces, cover and seal up the holes, t hen cut new pieces and re-glue them down.

Just a note on that, I followed the builds he told me to follow if I had any questions on how he wanted things done, turns out that information was wrong, lol

And I made a plate for the AIM display to mount to that then bolts to the actual dash. The way they originally built the car, the AIM display bolted directly to the dash panel and if you ever wanted to remove it to service it or add inputs to the wiring harness for different functions you would have to remove the entire dash. Wasn't really brought up by this customer, but its kind of common sense imo. Even though I hate this project with a passion that I cant even describe. I still believe in functionality.

I would say a week or so. A flashlight dropped and put a chip on the side so I need to come up with a plan on fixing that, and I am waiting on a new rear-view mirror that needs to be installed. Some issues on that s running new cables in this car is extremely difficult with the body on.

I should have the dash finished this weekend coming up. I have some other small jobs that need some attention that have been piling up.

My buddy picked up his rockers for his Tesla Plaid.. Took me for a ride and this thing is absolutely ignorant!! Wild story about this car. Its a 2021 with 20k on it. It was purchased new for $127,100. He still has the window sticker. It was in a flood which wasn't really a flood at all, and progressive totaled it. He purchased it from the auction for $15,200 and put a $5,000 battery in it and it runs like there was never an issue. The self driving is pretty wild also.

my nephew came over a couple years ago in his. kid is like 30yrs old. his is black. i had a hard time distinguishing where the glass roof stopped and the black paint started. was really impressed with the black paint on it. hardly no texture. he took me for a ride in it and it went zero to about a hundred on the wide open highway in like 3 seconds and didnt make a sound. then the thing drove us home on its own and backed into the driveway. its not even a car, its a computer with wheels....

Him and his brother have purchased I think 10 of these Tesla's from auctions. He has definitely figured them out on where to purchase parts from. Maybe thats the cost new from Tesla.

It caught me off guard just how fast this car is. Rated at over 1000hp. Its stupid.

A friend of mine is a Service manager at a BMW dealer. His current driver is one of the 5 series all electric. He said hes driven fast cars and bikes before, but Oh man..I asked him what happens if you mash the pedal at a stop sign..He said "it snaps your neck."

yeah i was in the back seat and my brother in law said "give it to them" and by the time i said HUH i was back in my seat lol. i will say that i didnt like the automatic driving. when coming to a stop , i ease into the stop. seem like the car wait til the last minute and then stops harder. so you really have to have your faith that its actually going to stop. another thing to point out was that those cameras or sensors or whatever , sense object shapes like stop signs. so, coming up to a 4 way stop. the car sense its a stop sign and will stop. problem is when you have areas with over grown trees obscuring the view of the stop sign....could end badly....was a cool car though for sure.

I have a neighbor down the road from me doing this same thing, i call him the GigaHouse. he seems to focus on the model 3's though. Must be good money in it if you can source the parts and have the ability to interface the computer
