Thinking of just spraying wet 2 coats over body to seal ........ deal with problem weld areas with small areas of bondo to smooth out and hide (block) - then lay day 2-3 more coats of epoxy before my SS. No high build etc.

How much time should I allow between coats as I move onto the post body filler ..... the 3rd/4th coat etc .........

4 hours ?

Would be spraying in approximately 80-90degree FL weather.

thanks barry.
Sorry meant after body filler for extra coats.

eg
2 wet coats to seal
setup overnight
bodyfiller and sand next day
following day lay down 2 more coats - how much time between coats here ? same as step 1 - just two wet coasts and allow to dry overnight again before SS ?

thanks

Yep, two coats and allow overnight cure before single stage. But to make it nice why not put three or four coats after filler and block it all out, then a piss coat 30 min before ss? I wait at least 30-45 min flash time between coats especially with thicker film builds.

I might :)
I have no idea how coverage is going to go 1st time ........ so I will put as many coats on as I can with the amount of epoxy I have on hand. Just figured thats likely to be ~2 coats ......

If I run short or feel like still too many imperfections .... I guess plan b is to get a good high build locally or from SPI and apply before the recommended 7 days etc.

To me it sands as well as other high build 2k primers, much easier than polyester like slick sand. Unless you need a serious amount of film build I would use more epoxy as I think it's a better quality product. SPI 2k has its place though and there are convenience uses for it, but imho I haven't been using any other primers or filler primers since I started using this epoxy. Four good coats, block first with 180 fills about as good anything.
