im painting a car for someone and i have always used sherwin williams products had great results have recently used spi epoxy i love it. and im wanting to use universal clear from now on. ive had great cars with the ultra 7000 base with sherwin clear and barry says it compatable. i have also used atx base is it compatable? i am just wanting some of you experiences with this and opinions on this. i know sherwin williams bought out valspar which i think owns prospray. so is it all the same now? if not what o ypu reccomend?
 
The clear will work with all of them, if they have half a brain they won't screw with the probase but bean counters don't spray cars.
 
SPI products are top quality. Only difference from the "majors" is that they don't have their logo turning left at 200mph. Would be nice if Danica would volunteer her image though.
