Sealer recommendation

Repainting a laser red 96 mustang cobra. Original paint faded, clear coat still solid. No body work needed. Using a urethane BC CC.

Wanted some opinions on a sealer. Good idea, bad idea? What to watch out for? Primarily thinking it would be helpful with the adhesion.

Also, which sealer would you recommend?

If original that was a very stable paint ford used.
You have 2 choices, paint over the factory sanded paint. is first.
Second is spray one coat epoxy as a sealer that would give you some extra durability for the paint itself.

Using a urethane sealer is a waste of time as its not going to do anything more than the 2k except hide scratches or give a uniform color.
