Sanding UV

After smashing the search button Iv found many answers but a couple still elude me.
When sanding clear with 400 for a flow coat, is it done dry? Is it done with a hard block such as a Durablock? And what direction up and down? Long ways? or at 45 Degrees? Also is it better to sand it a couple days after clear before it hits the sun or after. As you can see in the pic I still need to paint and clear my doors and hood. Did not enough room in the garage I do them all). So the truck needs to be out of the garage to get those done but I can wait till is sanded if it makes a difference.

I have done 400 dry, I like to because the way dry sanding shows where you're going.
Direction depends on the curve, flat it doesn't matter as much.
I like to keep the same direction through out a panel so that the next step can go
90 degrees to it and you can see the progress.
Not waiting or waiting (if spraying universal) won't really be a problem because universal stays buffable a long long time.
You may get better gloss hold out if you do let it cure a little longer than just a day like typically done.
I like to wait 3 or 4 days min. and prefer a week for a show car finish.

I always sand dry because as stated above you can very easily see when the trash and texture is gone.
