Ruined Epoxy??

I’ve got about a half gallon remaining of SPI black Epoxy that I’ve been using on small sections the past two years to temporarily brush over patches as I get them welded in. This past winter I got back to my garage (N GA Mountains) after being gone a month and find about a pint had leaked out around the can... I had left the can upside down since I usually flip it over every few weeks. I don’t know it got below freezing in our basement garage and the expansion caused the leak or if it just leaked.
So, is it safe to use that epoxy or am I better off just tossing it and getting fresh?
I don’t know if freezing will ruin it, or if part of the content running out has altered the mix of components... I can mix a small batch and try it but I’m not sure how I’ll really know if it’s still good.
If it’s probably still good then I thought I would just use that to pour into the underside of my hood and try to coat the backside of some patches I welded in...

two years on the shelf is different than open for two years, but I would spray some.

I have a fiberglass tank we need to fix to get some new Military spec Chromate going and tried to mix one of four closed quarts of resin I had and it just was full of pinholes. Pretty sure you will notice right away.

I would be afraid that it wasn't mixed together when it leaked, leaving an improper mixture left in the can. You could spray some and see how it acted and dried, but only on a test piece. Even if it seemed fine, I wouldn't use it on anything visible, just not worth it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Bought new today. Will mix up some of the old suspect epoxy later and see how it does on a test piece. Might use it between hood and support skin, cab corners, etc.

Jut sprayed white spi epoxy first time ever today, 1. an 1.4 tips. went down very good just like base but I had a lot of very tiny pinholes. Im thinking maybe i put it on a little heavy? o forgot to say spraying on fiberglass.. old stuff sanded down w 80. just the backside it wont show much

yes i think that was it. not sure it was over some 3 day old resin that i basically poured over a rough fiberglass (backside n not really shows) to smooth it up a bit. next day after the post i sprayed the show side and it laid down very well with no pinholes.. maybe a temp idk.
i cannot control my temp in shop very well, just reduce humidity and then usually temp is 20 below outside also i put another coat on over pinholes next day and they covered up

What I would give for 20 degrees below outside temp! It's been brutal here lately, but the epoxy doesn't seem as temperature sensitive (as far as spraying) as most other products. It sprays good from 65 to over 100.
