rude awakening

I am also a dealer and NO car or truck leaves our place with out the title filled in new owners name on it. Plus my wife makes a copy of everything. About ten years ago we sold a dodge at the local auto auction and about a year lated the Washington DC police were beating on our door with paperrs that we abandoned this car in the city of DC. It was still in our name as the new owners { a DC dealer } never changed the title.
 
I’m in Taxachusetts, and the Springfield police officer said these illegal temp tags are a major problem here in the city, every shift he sees dozens of them, but to verify their legitimacy is a time consuming process.
 
DMV don't care about a vehicle having multiple titles when they can suck legitimate people out multiple dollars...seems like a racket in everything these days
