Another of boss mans toys. He had someone else paint and wasnt happy. Sent it back and made a mess of a blend and repair.
Filled in antena hole but its sunk lo now and can see his blend. Made the blk paint look grey in repair area.
So i'll fix that and then full sand and ppkish car, hasnt been done yet. Guy laid it down nice enough, needs to work on his spot in work.
Polished 1 door. All i had was 2000 grit.
Thats wood grained paint on dash

Couldnt get the shot of the reapair sinking with reflection.
This is one side of the blend issue, and searching more for what this other guy did im finding repairs to paint all over the place around back window and trunk area.
Made the repainted area go grey compared to original black colour too.

seeing that blend edge can be a couple different things. assuming its base/clear, when it was sanded and buffed the clear was sanded back to where the base blend started. 90% of the time thins is the cause. it can also be that the original paint was sanded with too coarse a grit before the repair was done. the paint that was blended on top is softer than the original paint from either being a different product thats just softer in general or it was sanded and buffed too soon. if the repair paint is softer then when you buff, the buffer wears away the paint faster than it shines the dulled out original paint underneath.

he might have got some chocolate in the peanut butter too- there might be some overspray of the bascoat into that clearblend area

if you can see it wet chances are there is basecoat in the edge of that blend edge. you'll have to make the decision to redo the spot repairs or just do your color blends and reclear the whole body, or repaint the whole thing
