I Have a 2002 Dodge 1500 truck, White and Silver Metallic 2 tone where the clear coat is flaking off the roof and top of doors and bed rails. It stays outside in the Mississippi sun and looking for recommendations in the steps to refinish the whole exterior of the truck with same colors or posibly a change in the bottom color from metallic silver to a metallic cobalt. Ive been told where the clear is flaking to sand to the metal and start from there. The plan I have so far is to remove the bed and finish it first then the rest of the truck a week later. I would like to stencil a double pinstripe using the finesse tape with the contrast color and worried if the tape would pull off the base coat under the tape.
I would like suggestions in priming (epoxy) sealing base and clear..
Thanks
Julian
