Re-base question

I started working on repairing a gelcoat panel about a month ago, shot Production Clear about 2 weeks ago. Started color sanding last nite, and my OCD is telling me that I need to do a better job on the basecoat, which has a few areas that appear to be a little uneven. Here is what is on there now:
2 coats SPI epoxy
1 coat Evercoat Slick Sand
1 coat SPI epoxy sealer
3 coats Chroma Base metallic gray base
2 coats SPI Production clear.

Do I need to re-prime 2 coats and then re-shoot the base? 1 coat sealer, then base? Or, anyone shot base over clear??

Thanks!
Bob

Just wet sand the panels with 800 and do the last 2 steps over. No need to do any of the rest over, unless there are severe imperfections that require primer. You may apply base coat over sanded clear, it is done every day.

I know that this is an old thread but I don't want to start a new one if not necessary.
I have a situation similar to Inspectorbob's except the 2 coats of production clear are only a few days old. Is there a wait time to let the clear fully cure before respraying the base?
Thanks

Thanks. I really screwed up trying to take a shortcut to address some runs and sags and wound up gouging out clear and base down to the sealer. I need someone on my back saying "patientence grasshopper" constantly. LOL

Don't feel bad. I did the same thing on an Olds I was painting. I attempted to "shave" a run too quickly and pulled the whole heart out of it. I suspect everyone here has done it sometime in their past. None of us were born experts. Some lessons just are learned with a little pain attached.
