Rattle can epoxy primer questions

I've got some small parts that I want to media blast and seal up with epoxy. What are you experts using for this type of thing? I see Eastwood advertises some. I'm also aware of and have used rattle can etching primer in the past but I read on here in the painting 101 sticky to not use anything out of a can.

Primer is the foundation for what's on top. Want a weak structure then use rattle can. If it's not something important, then you can get by.

So the 2-part epoxy can be mixed in fairy small batches?

Rattle can is 1K, If you spray 2K over it it will lift and delaminate for sure, SPI epoxy mixes 1:1 so just mix as small amount as you need and let it induce 30 minutes and then spray 2 coats letting it flash off between coats.

I mix small amounts of spi epoxy sometimes using the paper dixie bathroom cups. I think 3 ounces is what they are.

yes or even less you can mix with 1oz medicine cups. basically you can mix whatever amount you need and other than the basecoat step, if it doesnt have a catalyst then its pretty much junk. stay away from it.

You can get even smaller amounts and use measuring spoons.
