I am going to do a white basecoat then a mid mid coat with ppg prizmatique dx78 added to intercoat clear 1:1 with reducer. My question is how much prizmatique should i add to a ready to spray quart of intercoat clear? Anybody have a starting point I am thinking a tablespoon of DX78 per ready to spray quart of intercoat?? any thoughts?

You want to apply it in multiple coats to make sure it's even. 2-3 coats usually. A tablespoon might be a little heavy. I usually do a test spray in smaller amounts to get the ratio dialed in.

I would activate the intercoat .

Activator:
Using an activator with this clear is an option open to you. We feel it’s always advisable
to use an activator in a base coat or intercoat clear. If you decide to activate this
product, you can use any SPI “clear” activator for the activation. Just 1oz of clear
activator per sprayable quart will make big difference in cure time, tape time and repair
time.

Is this they type of effect you are going for?

I just saw the picture on the web, supposedly painted with PPG Prismatique. The shape of the helmet and the sun angle made for a great photo.
