QUESTION ABOUT A FRESH PAINT JOB

I just painted my daughters hood, rear door and roof and notice that around some primered areas there is a texture showing, I think I know what is wrong but want some help. When I primer on those areas and sand there is a ring so to say of lighter color primer around the area that is the outer edge and is not showing through the paint and clear but instead is maybe drawing up the paint? I sanded all area wet up to 600 grit and don't know any other explanation, It looked good at first but now has this problem of less gloss over the edges of where the primer is.

Also has this been a repaint? I just repaired a 98 Mercedes quarter panel that was repaired 3 times before so I used epoxy as a sealer to hold the edges down.No $ to strip to bare metal. Just a thought

Very common, JC. The main cause is primer not completely cured (finished shrinking) before paint. Also different absorption between primer next to clear will cause it. Primer is more porous than clear, so it can make the primer area look a little duller than the surrounding area.

I appreciate the help guys, This was the first time the car has been repaired. I used Axalta Cromax, No sealer and 3 coats of Euro clear.
