Our jobber in PA Rob from Getaway cars sent this link to me, Bob Barker from "The Paint Works" painted this prowler.
Bob over the years has done a lot of high profile cars, including two at Pebble beach and he did the one Cobra for the Quaker state challenge.

Had the honor of meeting Bob must have been about 7-8 years ago at his shop.

Everything Bob uses is SPI except for the Dupont base, the Dupont jobber is across the parking lot, last i knew.
 
Excellent work. How much different is the 4001 clear over the 4000 series. I know it's voc complient but does it spray/handle any differently? What clear does Bob use?
 
The 4100 does spray totally different, you will love it or hate it, NO in-between.

Bob uses 4000.
 
the 4001 is slower, thicker body, easier to run and get solvent pop easier. i personally like it better. i add 10 reducer to it and it sprays real nice. flows out much better with a more glass like finish than the regular universal clear. just gotta watch running it and needs more flash then regular uv clear or it can pop on you.
 
How do you like it compared to the MS clear Jim? Most of the stuff I do I cut and buff anyway, so does it make much difference?
