Proper sequence for painting

I was wondering if there is a proper sequence to painting a car. Roof, then hood, then doors, etc...
Single stage black in my garage. No booth.
Also, I'm painting the entire car. Under the hood, under the trunk and door jambs.

Thanks

Its different for everybody, but location is usually going to tell you how to paint it as far as where your over spray is going and dusting on the project. I mean, cutting in the door jams and underneath the hood and trunk is going to be first so you dont get dry spray on the outside, but I think it all depends on where the over spray is going.

Can you just paint one or two parts at a time to help keep over spray down? Spraying a whole car without enough air movement may be a challenge.

Chad's suggestion may be a good one for you if you don't have proper airflow, large enough compressor experience , etc. Also cuts out some of the challenge of trying to spray wet onto wet enough everywhere.

I'd definitely prefer to do the inside & under areas first.

Black may be a more difficult color for bodywork's sake, but for home or even professional spraying not everything at one time, you don't have the issues of color & spray pattern match spraying it broken up.

I second that, I did the very thing on my last frame off in black.
