Problems with Die back

Another awesome thread. Just for clarification, Coronet, in your post you say
Using masking paper taped to a wall, I put paint in the gun and open the fluid knob all the way out.
Do you mean to say that you put the fan knob all the way out? This would seem more consistent with context, but I wanted to make sure.

I had the exact same problem with the lph400. Did everything there is Let base coat dry 12 hours, larger air hose, added a 2nd booth fan. still got die back. i fought the problem for 9 years. I bought a devilbiss Tekna clearcoat gun ended the problem clear flows awesome and no die back . So if you figure it out let me know.
