Has anyone used this product flexable primer ? was given an unopened quart and looked up the tech sheet and said ready to spray. Wonder if its water based or solvent? and may be a older product. Just thought maybe use it on "used car" bumpers ??? thanks

You sure it wasn't SX1047? If memory serves me the SX1044 was a rattle can. SX1047 was the same stuff only packaged in a quart can. It was RTS if I remember. Waterbourne and worked OK. Useful in situations where you would have issues with paint "cooking up", especially after primer. About all I ever used it for.

Hey Chris I did see a chart on PPG primers and there is a SXA 1044 in a rattle can . Am I wasting my time with this stuff ? Don't want to mess up my primer gun

It's just a waterbourne primer. Cleans up with conventional solvents. PPG had this stuff for years they used to call it something else way back in the early 90's but I can't remember what that name was. It got relabeled for marketing reasons I guess. I only ever used it on problem stuff that cooked up on me. SEM had something similar as well. Won't hurt anything to use it.
