The SPI Red is not a good or true picture taker because of the different light.
A couple of reasons is first the Pigment is one of only a rare few that changes a little after in sun for 10-30 minutes.
Second, there are no whites, black or blues added to help it cover and lower the cost.

I agree. The photos don't do the color justice at all....

3 coats of dark red, 3 coats of universal, all on top of SPI red epoxy.

Thanks, I will post a few more tongiht when I get home, but I don't want to high jack the thread with my pictures. PM me your e-mail and I will send you the whole portfolio if you would like, Or I can send you a link to my FB page.

SPI red on my 73 Corvette. I'm very happy with the color and the Universal clear. Thanks for your help Barry.
It's crazy how much this color varries from Orange light red to this. Is how I hope it looks im going to have to order the chips of both the regular red and the dark red. That color looks awesome on that vet.

That is true. My 68 Mustang Coupe and 67 Fairlane are SPI red and it is very hard to get a good photo to show the true color.

SPI Red. Yeah,it's tough to judge and it doers change depending on the light but it's a killer Red for sure. Inside or in shade is darker but in full Sun is bright. This was an overcast shot and really was RED but it'll hurt your eyes in direct Sun which is cool with me......
Honestly,I don't think it 'cares' to the primer color as this paint is so good at coverage it's a mute point.
