Went into a local pawn shop because my son wanted to look and see what kind of guitars they had, and I discovered they had a Sata minijet 4400b HVLP 1.2 SR and a Sata 5000b RP 1.3. The minijet looked new, no real signs it had ever been used. You could tell the 5000 had been used but it was in good shape also. Both had the Adam2 gauge / regulator option. The pawn shop seemed pretty clueless as to what they were other than they were "paint sprayers". No guitar for my son, but I brought both paint guns home at a really good price in my opinion.

I've gotten several paint guns and guitars at a pawn shop. The local one doesn't take guns in anymore. Tragic.

Well, no :)---But it has created a bit of an issue for me. I bought a new DV1 clear gun a few months back and now I have to decide when it comes to spraying clear am I going to grab the Sata 5000 or the DV1. I guess I need to figure out which one fits my spraying style better. I sprayed a test panel with the two Sata guns last night--sprayed base with the minijet and clear with the 5000 and both guns sprayed as they should, no issues. I can't believe the deal I got. I talked them down some, but they were a great deal at the price they had on them. Small pawn shop in a small town, I guess no one going in there understood what they were looking at. The people running the place made it seem like they had them there for quite a while.

5000rp is a awesome clear gun. Especially if you like to hose it on. 5000 was one of my favorite Satas. And I’m not a sata snob lol. Yes that was a great deal. Hard to find these days even in small towns. All someone has to do is check the internet to figure out the value of something. But maybe they figured a hard sell in a small town? Either way great for you.
