Paint booth heater not working....

Hey guys, so we have a heated paint booth but one day it just stopped working, business is picking up but no funds available to get someone to look at it... The booth clicks 30 seconds after it is turned on, that's when the heater is supposed to turn on but nothing... I know its a long shot but any help would be appreciated, I turn it to winter mode, summer and nothing. I change the temp and nothing either....

I never even saw a booth heater but i'd start at relay. See if juice is coming in & out when it kicks on.
If it kicks out after a few or so seconds, check safety features for overheating if exists.
Electric heater i assume? Too many variables for over the net clueless (me) tech.
Loose screws on relay can do it (kill breakers first so u don't cook yourself) good luck.

Its a gas heater and a crossflow, just a bummer since we do need one especially when its cold... It takes longer for clears to dry since we can't bake them...

Be warned this may sound stupid but if your thermostat has batteries, could they be dead? My garage heater did the same thing.

It is all analog but ill open up the cover and see hopefully that will solve the problem... Thank you.

Many times when heaters I own stop working, it's because the thermocouple is bad or just needs cleaning. It's a doodad with wires that goes into the burner, it's job is to sense the presence of fire. If it does not, the unit will shut down to prevent a gas explosion.

I will check that out as well, thank you for your input.

If you never tinkered with gas hvac for house ect, it's worth $100 service call for diagnose.
Any residential comercial hvac guy should have a clue. Booth or house both basically same principal.
I have 20yr old Rheem high eff unit up north. Has vacuum psi sensors monitoring chamber & cut gas if needed or BOOM.

I'm with Crash on a sensor. I used to clean the flame sensor in our house furnace once a year. It would click on and off but the burner would never light. I used a scotchbright to clean the sensor. Looks like a meat thermometer probe with a wire attached and will be directly into the flame.

The house furnaces also have little button sensors that can also act up. I had an air makeup at one time and I don't think it had the button sensors but I know it had a flame sensor.

Probably have to call someone if it's not the sensor.

The make of the unit could shed light on where to go. We have a Hastings roof-top air make-up unit. Is this a real air make-up unit or something else?
