Overspray Sanding Question

After painting and clearing the inside of the cab of my truck I was wondering What grit do I need to sand the overspray in the door jambs and windshield jambs areas before I spray base on the exterior of the cab? I am worried about the base adhesion to the clear in those areas if I don’t have it sanded correctly. I was planning on masking at the gasket edges so the tape line will be under the gasket. Thanks for the help!

IMO the best way would have been not getting over spray there to start with. Now you could have issues with open time windows and such. A little time and a little paper could save a lot of extra labor and grief. But I say 400 grit.
