Anyone have an on line paint color pallet website to look colors up? Still deciding what color to paint the car. I have two color ideas but, would like to look at what's out there before making up my mind.

Thank you,

Looking at colors online is not a good idea, imo. The only way to get an accurate rendering is in person with your own eyes. Go to a dealership (or 2) and find a color you really like, then get the paint code. Some new vehicles don't have the code on them anymore, but you can get the VIN# and call the parts department for it.

I see your point tex and it's worth a shot but, I'll be limited by "todays" colors on car lots. If I can find a color on line that I'm interested in, I'll get the paint code and go to my local jobber and have them mix me a pint or sample to spray and see if it really looks good to me.

To add to what TK said. Use the stuff you find online to research and help you narrow down your choices. Don't make a final decision until you put your eyes to a chip, or a sprayout. Or a vehicle with the color you like. You can go to your local paint jobber(s) and ask to see some of the color information "chipbooks". Many times a major will also have their own custom chips in a book.

Book on the right is Cromax color info for the years shown. Has chips of every factory color of most manufacturers. Using an OEM color is always nice in case you need to repair down the road. Gets a little dicey using a custom mixed color sometimes if you need to repair. Book on the left is an old PPG book that listed all the various colors PPG had created (in addition to factory colors) Lot of the various manufacturers have books like these and they can be very helpful.
All jobbers have books like this and will let you browse through them. Just need to ask.:)

you have a good idea of getting some and spraying. These chips are insane. You get more organized books and you look at 10 different shades of white. Get to the blues, you see green to purple, grays, silver to brown. I am not sure how they play with metallics, pearls and candies though, because we keep getting this pink flake in our blues that make you want to add pearls just so its not just a pink flake, its every color of the rainbow so you do not see the pink as much.
A line comes when you wish there were not so many shades.
