Hi guys, I have some older clear coat (2015) and epoxy still good? Does clear coat activator lose strength as it ages? If it looks good and activates is it just as "potent" as a new activator? I realize moisture and temp changes are not good, but is a visual inspection enough to tell? How about epoxy and old activator? Thank you.

If activators have been open, all you can do is test them., the epoxy activator is opened likley very weak.
Part A's should be okay if stored right.

Thank you, Barry. If epoxy activator is unopened how long is it good for? Do urethane activators weaken over time? or just epoxy activators? Do urethane and epoxy products part A weaken?

This is nothing more than anecdotal, but this weekend I used some epoxy where both parts have sat in my shed for 4+ years and were opened previously. Brushed it on some leaf springs and left them out in the sun where the metal temp got in the mid 90's and so far so good they look great and have a very nice solid finish. Not sure how much help this is, but I thought I'd pass it on.

If stored at stable temp unopened activator's may be good test and see. same with the urethanes.

Any can go bad if making of can or top is of specks over time.

Part A's should be good.
