Old Binks Lid

Oldtimer
Can't find a replacement lid for this cup. It's an old (obsolete) Binks M1-G gun. The gun sucks but I like it for an industrial paint that I use on ornamental iron work.
The inside of the cup measures exactly 3-7/16". I found a part no. on the internet "GFC-404-K2" but that proved not to fit at a local jobber. May have to change the cup to get a lid but the threads into the gun aren't common either.

It might not be worth messing with. Seems like adapting the threads to a modern cup would be the best solution moving forward, then replacement lids would be easily obtainable.

I have that gun with the 2.3 and another gun with a 2.5 that Barry gave me. I use the 2.5 for the thick stuff, works great.
The old Binks has a 1.7 nozzle that I use to spray ornamental iron work, mostly satin black and bronze. Paint I don't want in any of my "good" car guns.
If I don't fix it now I will forget about it until next time and use the cracked lid again. (and again):). What I should do is get the disposable cups again.

3M probably has the most extensive list of adapters out of all of them.
After I couldn't get the disposable system I used before (from Europe) and it doesn't appear they will return to the US market, I decided to switch to the Sata RPS system. Sata's adapter list is a bit lacking-limited but I was able to use the 3m list to cross reference that 15 adapter to a Sata. Ironic that you don't need the adapters for the QCC Satas, (have only one). Going to have to contact Sata to verify the other adapters.

Problem solved. Have some other adapters for a few of my other favorite guns and the Sata of course needs no adapter.
