metalshaper

Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum, and just ordered my first gallon of SPI epoxy primer to try out after hearing so much good stuff about it. I have a restoration shop, and concentrate heavily on metalshaping. After years of people asking to see how I go about fabricating things, I finally gave in and started a you tube channel. Metalshaping, restoration tips, rebuilding everything from axles to steering boxes, etc....
Here is a link to one of my first vidoes where I am using the power hammer to shape a tricky part.
you might have to cut and paste to get it to work. Anybody stumped with metalworking problems is welcome to contact me.

I would have to build a bigger shop and buy all those expensive tools.
Great video, thanks for helping people like myself see all of what goes into properly fabricating metal panels.

I am located in Connecticut. I built the hammer I am using in the video over 20 years ago. Took patterns off of an original Yoder hammer. It is made of steel as a weldment, instead of like a casting as original. Updated the slide system and put on a VFD for speed control instead of a clutch. Weighs just about 12,000 pounds and is super smooth to use as you can see in some of my videos.

Welcome to the forum. That is a nice hammer you built, look forward to seeing some more of your work.

If you click on the video above it will take you to youtube. When you get to youtube you can subscribe to my channel or look thru the other videos I have. I try to get a couple out every week. I am showing the progress on a 1951 Willys CJ3A that I am restoring right now, among other projects.
