The labels have been shipped from the printer, so should have Friday or Monday.

Today we are making Matte clear and White Single stage.

These two will be able to ship Tuesday for sure.

Gallon of Matte clear--$120.00
4:1 with 2100-4 series activator.
5-Qt kit=$149.75

Gallon White Single stage--$209.95
4:1 with 2100-4 series activator.
5-Qt kit=$239.70

Hot rod Black, black base and Black SS hope to have all ready soon, maybe by middle of next week but figure the next week to be sure, the hot rod Black is made, just need to add tint blend and fill but it takes second to other products we need to make.

Time to re-organize my shelves again, just when I get everything in order and labeled.. :) well worth it though!!!

Barry, how will the new single stage spray compared with the old version? Will the matte clear be relatively fool proof or will care still need to be taken to maintain no-gloss finish? Thanks for not settling for the same old same old :)

You will not notice a difference with the SS, I have the white covering Red and medium blue in one coat, you may like the drying even better.

The matte clear has beat me to death the last three weeks and I mean non-stop, this is why I'm behind, not counting the waiting for new labels.
BUT! I have this child proof! Will not snow flake, sprayed three coats with no flash and does not change gloss.
This is way tougher then all the others I have tested, I mean not, not even close!

Maintaining???? I have not thought about it but don't see no issue if they don't wax and I'm not sure that would hurt other then the added gloss from the wax.

windex and a microfibre towel works good on the (sikkens) rally black to get smudges and prints off.

Thanks Barry. Didn't mean to confuse you on the maintenance question. I was referring to not glossing up the finish by spraying too fast or using the wrong activator temp. Sounds like it should be easy enough for even me to spray LOL. Thanks again for your hard work and innovation.

Barry, is the hotrod black a satin or flat? I sure would like to have something to replace the $100+ per quart of Rally Black I've been using.

Bob, not sure the terminology but what I have noticed is mine at this point is more black then a black gray look of the others.
I have changed the tint load and if I cut it down it starts to go gray shade (when next to a black).
I have two different carbons coming in today, that are weaker then I normally use and going to do three different loads and spray and then pick the one shade we like the best.

The most poplar one is very gray when next to a black but I'm leaning more to a blacker gray but to be honest, I'm not sure everyone will be happy with this no matter what shade i do and that is why I'm at 95% flat so people can do their own final adjustment.
This could very well be a product that we never make a second batch of and I have known that fact since I started playing with this.

Bob, does this make any sense? and explain the terminology and what you like, as I will be done with this first of week and can slide either way.

I think the sikkens is pretty black. Even when I flatten it out with their matting paste to get a 100% total flat finish, it doesn't have that gray look.

BUT, I haven't used very many mat black products as the sikkens has fit fine for any app that i've come across. Glossy enough for the higher gloss mat stuff but can tune it down for the flatter stuff.

If you are only making one batch I better make a big order..LOL!

Now none of this looks gray by itself but outside if you hold a black panel next to it they all tend to be real gray in my book but I did not buy the sikkens black just their clear.

I can see that with the clear...looks like milk when you open the can.

Barry, as long as it's black and we can tune the gloss level it will be a winner for sure. The Sikkens black is definitely black but the level of darkness is less than a true black paint-I think that's going to be the same with any semi-gloss or flattened black-just a byproduct of low gloss. I have no way to measure the gloss level of the Sikkens I've been using but I've gotten good at achieving the level of gloss I need with reducer selection and adjusting the time between epoxy sealer and paint, I never need to achieve a true flat look with the stuff I do. I can mail you a few Rally Black test panels if you want comparisons, I've also got some of their Chassis Black here that has a different look.

What will the Black base be comparable to? I am using a lot of House of Kolor Black (BC25). Exciting news. Wish it had been available sooner....

I'm not matching it to nothing, as every black out there is different and no one black will please everyone.

It will be a nice black with a very small amount of blue added, not as much as the premium euro, blue/blacks but just enough to keep it black.

The flattener is white, when it dries, so more flattener used in black the more gray shade it turns, no way to avoid this except doing a higher load of black, thanks for offer Bob but I have the sikkens ralley and matte clear that I sprayed for comparison.

Wooho! I know what black base I'll be switching to from now on.
Barry, please tell me you'll be offering quarts of these products, especially the black base and the matte clear! (I found it hard to justify even buying a whole gallon of universal clear, and I use it on ALL my jobs)

Us college students are too broke to buy whole gallons of paint :D

Prowitness, I say go ahead and buy the paint with your student loan money. It's going to be forgiven anyway.

Black paint is great news. Now I can get on the program w SPI and not have to worry about compatibility of other stuff.

Edit, I am a little concerned at your comment that you may only make one batch. What is touchup is needed in the future? I am sure this is a newbie type question. I also realize that blacks and esp. flat blacks are all difficult to touchup.

No quarts, we made the decision to price the gallons cheap enough that a person would have to be drunk to buy a competitors quart.
Example, 5quart kit of matte clear is the priced less then 2 quarts of the biggest seller of matte clear .
The majors are even more.
