Would this be comparable to the Sikkens SRA Reducer? I never tried the upol...always used Sikkens.

Know the product well, you won't be going backwards for sure and may like mine better.
One of my first tests was a dealer that uses all our stuff but has a sikkens mixing system, there pissed they can't buy it yet, so may work for you.

I know it says add no product to the blender but I usually keep a little clear in the cup on the first application then use straight blender on the last. Is that still kosher?

Yes but not a good idea, yes it makes it easier to blend and if doing a car lot car no problem.
Where the problem would come in is that clear will be thin and that is the part that is going to bleach down the road.
Whatever works best is the way to do it but just trying to make you aware of the drawbacks.

DuPont also recomended 10% clear with their blender years ago and when we did that we seen the failures Barry mentioned, we also seen a lot more chance of failure when rubbing out a blend area. I've come to the conclusion that blending solvent works best if only used to melt the overspray edge, I experience no problems with the blends I do nowadays.

I think open blends on OE paint are eventually going to show, it's just a matter of time. Sometimes on a repaint they melt in pretty good, though.
