New cans for urethane reducers:

JimC we have pulled our hair out over this, best we can figure is there is a 4 a in 10 chance you get a leaker as 40% of cans we had the machinest check was out of spec.
Ones where we seem to have problem is shipping west of the Mississippi due to temperature changes and loading and unloading at different terminals.
National sales manager is coming in this morning because of my bad mouthing and threats of buying cans from over seas out of spite.

Never had a leak, some dents here and there but not problems. But I'm not a high volume user either.
Are the threaded spouts attached to the cans all plastic? Are the metal spouts cost prohibitive?
On hardener or activator cans I try to wipe the spouts clean before putting the cap back on to help keep the cap from gluing itself to the spout.
If the cap does stick sometimes the spout will rotate with the cap in the can.
Barry, whatever you put the products in I will buy them.

The metal screw on are a lot cheaper but most people hate them.
These are plastic like the activator can.
If top sticks that Flathead screw driver and twist under neath black cap, breaks it lose every-time.

I have to admit, I always liked the metal tops just for reducer cans, since they can be spun off quickly and with one hand very easily. But metal tops are bad for anything other than reducer.

I guess I was lucky when I took a break from painting. My order 3 years ago and the one I received last week all had the small cap. Never had a problem with them or any leaks. Now, all those damn styrofoam packing pellets, that's a different story.;)

LOL,
Never meant anyone that like the Styrofoam in the boxes, we do that just to piss off our customers. LOL
I will post a picture of inventory of them, this is about a 7 business day supply, yes I hate them also!!!

haha that looks like the top of my spraybooth. the peanuts go into big bags and i dont know what to do with them so i put them up there.

The only positive I see with this is we keep the place 70 degrees 24/7 and I figure the foam and the as of yesterday the $210,000 of UN-made boxes
cut down on cooling and heating bills. Got to have a positive attitude. LOL
The boxes i guess take about about 2500 sq ft of volume at best guess as the are spread out in the one section on racks (24ft high) in chemical storage section.
