Rbm, for fun & possible happier pump after break-in, change oil .
I did it with small home garage compressor & i was surprised how much trash was in oil.
I did it a few times till it came out spotless.
If you do, put oil in clear pastic cup or jar and show us. Curious if high end pumps are built cleaner.

This unit requires oil change after 100 hours to honor warranty...I'm gonna change after 30 days and I will post the results

new compressor pumps produce oil . run it for 10 hrs or so before tying it into you air supply . let the rings seat .

Good info Shine & Rbm i look forward to seeing oil.
Us guys care for our toys & tools which is why i suggest dumping oil after short break-in, not hours after what i saw.
It's cheap & easy enough oil change. Mine had some metal & other particles. I like none.
Btw i changed oil after 10hrs (a few months of home use) and it was spotless. Took 3 changes when new to get clean.

Missed your post before hooking it up...I went back and took supply lines loose and ran it some...will do some more before using...I'll let the motogaurd catch some then change the filter..thx

I've got a 1953 5hp Quincy on a 80 gal horizontal tank that spent the first 20 years of its life in a state highway dept maintenance shop and then the next 25 yrs in my dad's sheetmetal shop, and its never had a wrench on it to this day. You oughta be good to go for a while :)
