Need Tips for Lizardskin

Wildthing

I am a noob at this and have a 68 Mustang Fastback ready to build back up. I have a couple of questions around Lizardskin (I do have the Lizardskin paint gun).

1. Will Lizardskin work good (Temperature Insulating) on the underside of the roof?
2. Do I need Sound Deadener Lizardskin on the roof?
3. Would you say use the Sound Deadener Lizardskin then the Temperature Lizardskin everywhere on the interior of the vehicle?...or limit usage of the Deadener or Temperature Lizardskin to specific areas?
4. Would you advise to put SPI Epoxy down prior to any Lizardskin?
5. Would you topcoat Lizardskin for covered areas (Under dash, Under Carpet)?
6. Would you advise Lizardskin for the trunk?...if so, what would you topcoat with?

Any other advice/cautions for Lizardskin usage and application?

i use both products throughout the car. epoxy first then s/d then h/s . no need to top coat. if exposed it can be painted. it can also be thinned slightly to lay down smoother and sanded smooth .

Thanks Shine

Thanks for the info Shine. It will be interesting to see how well it works.

Like Shine said. Use both throughout. I did a job where the owner only wanted the thermal insulation thinking it would also help sound. It really didn't to anything for sound and I ended up putting dynamat over it later. Personally for sound I might lean more towards the dynamat type products. Probably in my head but they seem to absorb more than the spray on. Probably a thickness thing that could be overcome with more product depth.

Thanks for the info...I was wondering if just the t/c would work a bit as a sound deadener, guess not.

I think I saw a show where someone put down Dynamat then sprayed t/c control Lizardskin over it...i would suspect a problem from an adhesion standpoint...but they were wanting something removable.
