Need some PPG DBU help

A while ago I had my 66 Chevelle painted in PPG DBU, the materials used for the mix were:

DMD 663 White
DMD 648 Weak Black
DMD 639 Med Chr Yel
DMD 643 Lt Chr Yel
DBX 695 Clear Base

The paint supplier at one point inadvertently mixed up a gallon of paint and instead of using the DBX 695 clear balancer (DBU), they use the DBC clear base DBX689.

The car needs some spot work, and the painter only deals with Standox paint these days. He tried to get his paint supplier to match the PPG code but they are telling him they will never be able to match well enough to panel paint or even blend.

I have this gallon of paint that was a "screw up" (DBU toners in DBC base), I'm wondering if it can be used? I don't know which if any of those DMD toners used are universal, nor do I know what will happen if I try to use that paint with DT reducer. Do the old DBU toners actually need the reactive reducer to perform properly?

You basically have a gallon of DBC base, that you reduce 1:1 with DT reducer(or SPI). Toners were the same in DBC/DBU.
I have a SW ultra mixing setup now, so I forget the exact clear balancer/base used in DBU. Still have the DBC/DBU mixing bank,
that my semi retired Dad mixes DBC on a regular basis.

Yeah, some people have been telling me the toners were universal, some have been telling me the toners are not all universal and not to use this paint. It's a choice between spot fixing the car for ~$8000 or repainting the whole car with Standox for $20k. I'd ofc much rather use the paint I have.

My painter clearly recalls the PPG supplier having a DBU rack and a DBC rack, all the DBU toners had maroon labels and the DBC had blue labels, and they were not to be mixed together. Neither of us can recall why the supplier gave us the gallon for free and told us not to use it, my painter is spooked.

This is what my painter is stressing out about, see attached images.

I found pictures of the same toner DMD 657, different color labels, blue for DBC, Maroon for DBU, same toner just a different color label, or are they not the same chemically?
