Need some help mixing and/or color advice.

I am going to be painting my truck soon and would like to do some ghost graphics on it, maybe some flames or stripes. The color is Tourmaline Green, code NB, year 99. I would like the graphics to be darker than the base rather than lighter, but my paint supplier said he has never heard of any black pearl. I bought some green pearl to do a test panel with, but the pearl is lighter than my truck. My only thought is to use a black basecoat that has a lot of pearl in it and mix with some intercoat until it has the transparency that I want. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

House of kolor sells a black pearl. Its called graphite pearl I believe. Its a dry pearl that gets mixed in intercoat.

Thanks. I just ordered some. I have never used a dry pearl before. Can it just be mixed right into the intercoat?

Yes sir. I spray base then an unmixed coat of intercoat, then the mixed, that way if I screw up I can sand off.

I think about a tablespoon per sprayable quart is a good starting point to keep.from.excessive film build. Also don't forget to check out your panel in the sun as I'm sure you prob know.
