Motocryl vs Wanda SS

Can anybody comment on coverage of Wanda SS and how they think it compares to Motocryl? I would normally use Motocryl but it's gone up $70/gallon since last year and is now at $400/gallon. Wanda is $300/gallon and Chad does have toners for Wanda so he can scan to match.

Chad's hunch was Motocryl might have better coverage since the Motobase has better coverage, but he hasn't done any comparisons on the SS, and has also said he hasn't had any complaints.

I'd probably have to have upwards of 4 gallons total so it could be a significant savings for my uncle's truck if I could go with Wanda.

i haven't used either one so i cant comment. what kind of a paint job are you doing on the truck? is it a work truck that you are just going to spray or is it something nice that you plan on sanding and buffing? i use the crap out of utech u500. its cheap, super good quality, durable but it just doesnt flow out like glass on large stuff if you know what i mean. could be an option depending what your doing and if you have an akzo jobber nearby

It’s going to be a nice job that’s getting cut and buffed. It’s a very nice complete frame of all original restoration but it probably will never get showed. It’ll be as close to concourse as you can get without actually being concourse. I was going to spray three coats, cut with 600 and then do another 2 coats, then cut and buff.

On my doors I had Black epoxy in the interior sides and a coat of 1:1:1 epoxy on the entire doors for sealer. after the first coat of white Motocryl I already had complete coverage. Don't know if that's impressive or not. I can say after the first pass of the gun I felt that Motocryl was of high quality.

I’ve sprayed a camper with Motocryl and have sprayed 4 different Motobase colors too. It’s good no doubt. Just wasn’t sure if I could still get good results with Wanda having never sprayed it except in paint school 13 years ago.

For the prices per gallon that was quoted, how many sprayable gallons will each have?
Motocryl is 2:1+ 10%. According to my math 1 gallon (128oz) of Motocryl will yield 211.2 oz or 6.6 quarts RTS.
Edit: Given Wanda is 4:1 +10% Wanda will yield 176 oz or 5.5 quarts RTS.
