Has anyone ever used MIPA paint if so is the solvent paint any good? Color match, coverage, does it lack color codes for the US? And do they offer a camera? I'm looking for a new paint system that will work good for smaller jobs/bumpers that isnt very expensive.

Not to be a smart ass but the search function is a wonderful thing. MIPA is very good stuff btw. German.

I'm new to the form so I guess I should of looked but oh well! I need to see if there is any jobbers in Georgia that sell this and get some info on it. But from the looks of it most of the people I see using it are in the north east

im getting their system next week. have mix feelings about this brand. tried the whole line, filler primer sealer base clear. from all stuff only base and primer is ok, everything else i didnt like at all, and even my supplier stopped selling their clears and sealers . Main reason for me to install their system is price, around 80$ a quart which nowadays is great.
here is their online mix , you can type paint code and see how many variances you will get. https://www.mipa-paints.com/mix4win_online/mipa/public/index.php?lang=gb

So did they get your system set up? If so how do you like it so far?

So have you got to try it out yet?
yes, one week already.
with right shade sealer, coverage is 2 coats easy, almost on any color. the pricing is good as well, the cheapest is 72 for quart and most expensive 90 for pint. Also, they have "stabilizer" which you use in place of reducer to make metallics lay down nicely.
for half of colors i mixed, system didnt have chips . RR, BP fords for example. RR code came out in 2012 and still no prime chip.
After all, i really like to have system and i recommend Mipa paints.

Have you had to match any colors? Wondering how well it matches

some colors were dead on, some colors needed a bit adjustment. for what i can say now, based on 1 week experience(lmao) of mixing color, it is just a tool and how good it will match depends on colorists experience and eyes. are you gonna paint a lot?
