Mini-fridge door

Learnin'
Well, my questions related to candy have paid off. I can use a little more practice, had a little tiger striping on the metallic and mixed the candy too strong, but I'm still very happy with it. I didn't color sand or buff it at all and it's sad that being inside the garage doesn't allow it's magic to shine, but I'm happy with it. It was a great learning experience and was entirely painted with a LPH80 and LPH440. The 80 almost always had to be wide open on fluid, hopefully I can get better with a larger gun and more practice. I have to do my walk in door as well, then it's on to car parts! SPI Epoxy, HOK -----@--------- Silver, SPI Intercoat with HOK Candy Apple Red concentrate, SPI clear, SPI white base, SPI clear, sand, more SPI clear.

For the record, SPI clear makes me feel like I'm a better painter than I know I am. It's amazing how well it levels.

Don't mind the lack of a shirt, come summer time my shirt is off whenever I'm not working and outside. I've been working like crazy all holiday weekend trying to get my garage and shed finished, our second child is coming on Thursday (C-section) unless it decides to sneak out earlier. I plan on posting some pics of the finished garage, but it needs a few more finishing touches.

Here's the rest of the garage, about 98% complete.

View from the front

My compressor (5 HP, 60 Gallon)

Cabinets I built, except I had the doors made. Also some memorabilia.

The bookcase for my car books, they were taking up too much room in the house bookcase. There is many more I haven't found yet...it also doubles as bench support.

The finished fridge, complete with beererr.....sodas.

My subwoofer (I love music) and side of a toolbox I painted before I went to school for auto mechanics (10 years ago)

The other side

The front, along with my homemade whiteboard... hope it works!

My air line, dryer, etc...

Looks great. I really like the garage setup. It will be a blast to work in that space. I'm guessing you have a different area setup for spraying? I really like the checker board floor. I started to put one in mine. My 24x24 has two tone walls. Grey on the bottom and white on top.

Primer work will be sprayed outside, base/clear will be moved to my normal jobs shop and sprayed on weekends.

The biggest thanks go out to Jim C, he had to basically spoon-feed me a "How-to" on candy paint! Of course, Barry helped out a ton as usual.
