Well, my questions related to candy have paid off. I can use a little more practice, had a little tiger striping on the metallic and mixed the candy too strong, but I'm still very happy with it. I didn't color sand or buff it at all and it's sad that being inside the garage doesn't allow it's magic to shine, but I'm happy with it. It was a great learning experience and was entirely painted with a LPH80 and LPH440. The 80 almost always had to be wide open on fluid, hopefully I can get better with a larger gun and more practice. I have to do my walk in door as well, then it's on to car parts! SPI Epoxy, HOK -----@--------- Silver, SPI Intercoat with HOK Candy Apple Red concentrate, SPI clear, SPI white base, SPI clear, sand, more SPI clear.
For the record, SPI clear makes me feel like I'm a better painter than I know I am. It's amazing how well it levels.
Don't mind the lack of a shirt, come summer time my shirt is off whenever I'm not working and outside. I've been working like crazy all holiday weekend trying to get my garage and shed finished, our second child is coming on Thursday (C-section) unless it decides to sneak out earlier. I plan on posting some pics of the finished garage, but it needs a few more finishing touches.
