Metal Re-working...Saving the Patina and Og paint!

This thread I'll be showing some metal work or re-work of sorts. I wanted to challenge myself and try to work out the metal without damaging any of the original patina or paint.

'49 5 window. Owner hit a deer and didn't want to have to replace the fender because the whole truck was og and matching patina.

Nice, that was some harsh creases you got smoothed out there on the 49'. Are you sure you didn't take a picture of it BEFORE it was wrecked.:p
On the impala, the mushed in body line area you straightened out doesn't look any less straight than the rest of the car.
I did a little charity work fixing a falling tree dent removal on a neighbors car last year. The largest portion of the repairs are fairly easy especially on new paper metal , it's that final portion that takes the time & effort. I ain't near that good yet.

HOLY CRAP! that 49 fender looks like the second photo was before the deer hit and the first looks like after the deer hit, I actually had to read that twice . That is awesome.

Will, this is being auctioned and I have been following it, you may not care for the upgrades, but I think its awesome. I'm not buying just interested.
Surprisingly it only has a couple of spots that need help. This auction is a little different, in that anyone can make comments at any time, toward the bottom of the page. Those comments show just how popular the patina look is, at least with these people.

Very carefully...I used hammers, dollies, slappers, hands, knees, feet.

Awesome work especially the area around the headlight bucket, very impressive. Patients and properly calculating the next move is critical in getting those results that's that's for sure.

Thank you very much!! You're right, a lot of time is just standing there staring and planning. That job is one that I'm most proud of.
And to be clear I've had some people message me thinking I faux-tina painted some areas of the panels. I have not painted or touched anything up with paint.;)
