First off,I apologize for the length of this post. I’m not new to the sight but have been trolling for almost 8 years. I have a ’55 Chevy that I’ve had for about 43 years with the intention of some sort of restoration. About 8 years ago I started the process of stripping and finding out what was going to be needed as far as new metal. i should add that the car was an original California car so I didn’t expect much rust. Luckily all I had to replace was the passenger door skin, no rust just a crease from its history. I knew I wanted to have a good epoxy base for the finish, so I started my research and came across SPI. After reading the forum reviews I was sold. There were a few things that I knew I was going to do. One was an LS engine and a 4-link rearend with a 5 speed. It had to have A/C, disc brakes, power steering and new wiring. I was originally going to go with a bc/cc but after doing some tests with single stage I decided to go with SPI single stage Black. The car is not 100% complete but close....I have to finish the back seat install. I could list other things but the main thing is to give thanks to a great website and Barry......actually had and issue spraying a door one Sunday and called Barry and he walked me through the fix. What company does that!!? Anyway here are some pictures.

Thanks everyone. The gun I use is an Iwata LPH 400, 1.4mm tip. The bumpers (clearcoated with matt clear) and dash were sprayed with an Iwata LPH-80 I used the “Perfect paint job” to the letter. Flowcoating the last coat.

Thanks Chris, it’s guys like you, Crash, Shine, Jim C., Rusty, of course Barry and so many many others that kept me out of trouble along the way.

That's a big 10-4 here also. I've been caught twice so far before making a mistake by the fellas here.
