luma III spray gun light

I couldn't use it, I've never seen it or know anyone who has but I would rather have more light fixtures in the spray area if I needed more light. The last thing I would want is something attached to the gun when spraying. That andthe light would probably blind me from seeing the paint and how it's going on.

Only time I think it would be remotely useful would be spraying something white. But I agree with DATEC that I would never want something attached to the gun. Give me more lighting in the booth (or wherever I'm spraying). Also maybe just me, and maybe I'm being a "snob" but I noticed that in the video they weren't spraying in a booth and nothing had been sprayed there before because the floor had no overspray on it. Little things like that throw me off when I see videos promoting something. Give me a guy with overspray on his paint suit, a dirty looking (overspray) booth, I'd be inclined to believe the value of a product more.

I have been using these for a few years now and although they do take some getting used to they do prove useful. More so for inner wheel arches rocker covers and checking coverage in poorly lit areas. If painting in various booths where the lighting may not always be the best id much rather have this as back up even if its off the gun and used simply as a sun gun. As for the overspray they clean up with some gun wash easy. Worth having imo

I got a little light that fits on the mig welder that is helpful when you are lost under a car. Somehow I cant see needing this unless you are trying to paint a car with no light, and if you are doing that, I guess you deserve to get when you end up with.

Covering it with a clear plastic bag is one of the first things I would do if I were using it though.

i was buying small led lights by the box when on sale or in a grab box . used them on my mig , blast cabinet , and on my blast hose. now you can get the rechargeable ones cheap . love them . really great on my blast hose . will pass along this idea to who ever buys my blasting rig . too damn old to wrestle that 1 1/4 hose any more . i'd rather pay to have it done .

I've had one for a couple years. Especially helpful spraying a frame, underside of body, and inside the body.

Also helps on flat panels but I usually don't use it for that. Beats the hell out of tyring to spray with a flashlight in one hand.

I like it enough I was going to get another for my primer gun.

Thanks Brad, I did order one because I need something for those areas like you mentioned. I also have a light metallic color to spray in a couple years, and thought this might help.

wholly crap on a cracker ! 200 bucks for a flashlight ??? i pay around 50 cents for the led ones. my rechargeable ones were on 34 dollars .
