Now I'm taking her apart for the third time.

Still have some interior parts to remove and the a good wash. Too Cold for spi epoxy :sorrow:

I like hoe the supercharger sits below the hood! Cool project!

Got this about a month ago.

my free 5hp Saylor-Beall

How it looked when I picked it up.

Now, after I re-did it.

Nice Camaro it's gonna look good when it's done. Nice compressor re-furb too.

Looking forward to watching this one. Keep the pictures coming!

The interior is just about empty. I need to
pull the carpet and cover the dash and the package
tray.

I think I'm gonna weld and fill this seam.

Picked up my block paper last week.

Thanks for the props guys!!

Sanded the fender!! Foward progress!!!

Rigged up this cabinet for paint stuff. Using elcheapo HF gun to show off the gun holder--lol

Test panels to use if it ever gets warm enough to shoot primer

Is plexiglass ok to use as a mixing board??

It will be soluble in the solvents used to clean it, so I would say no, but give it a whirl if you want. You could spray epoxy on it and leave it in the sun for a week, then it would work fine.

Coming along nicely. Hoping to get some stuff done on the wifes 67 Mustang as soon as it warms up a bit more.

I would be throwing them out after use. Thanks!!

I am so sick of winter!!

are those rust holes on the roof front? take a good look at the solder areas-see if there's any black showing around the edges and especially in the corner near the back window-I remove it if there's any hint of corrosion. A few coats of epoxy before you apply filler will go a long way to increasing the lifespan of your work.

Bad areas around the glass was fixed back in the early "90s what you are seeing is 2k dust. Thanks for looking out for me. Epoxy before fill vs filler on bare metal -- I hear both
ways are correct. What is right????

Both ways are correct, but there's added corrosion resistance when you apply epoxy primer before your filler. Many of the OEM's have recognized this and spec'd it for warranty repairs. The added step does take more time but has proven itself well worth it IMO.

More Noob questions:

from Perfect Paint Job "mix enough #6600 series epoxy to spray two wet coats over the entire car. Spray
one wet coat and let flash about 30 minutes then apply a second wet coat."

1. Is to 30 min from when you start on first panel of 30 min from when you complete entire car?

2. How do I know how much to mix per coat?
