If you need our products in the next week, a snow and ice storm is coming here

Looks like you got free beer coming from all those people all summer !!
Must be mild temp to be out on that Deere for as long as all that took.
Looks like the wear bar is down to the backing on the left. Can that be flipped over ?
It was 20 degrees day time temps while plowing. It took me almost six hours to plow what is pictured. I only use the metal wear bar when plowing roads. I use a hard rubber wear bar for concrete and asphalt driveways. You can see in the picture, the rubber wear bar above the metal wear bar. Using the rubber wear bar on the roads produces an uneven edge that doesn't work very well on flat even driveways.

I plow strictly for safety reasons in the event of an emergency where I had to get out, or emergency crews had to get in. My driveway is steep enough that I would surely slide down it and into my neighbors house if I didn't plow, or remove ice from my driveway. If My driveway gets iced over, I spread ice melt and run all over the driveway using metal snow chains ( My driveway only ) otherwise I use Terra Grip rubber tire chains as pictured as to not scratch up neighbors driveways.

All appears fine here..My guess is 14-18" of heavy wet snow, with lots of drifting. With help from the Man above, we only lost power for 4-5 hrs..Going to run the Tecumseh at full throttle!!

Send all that white gold my way please, I can never have enough winter!!

Report from the bunker: Day 3, my daughter and boyfriend cleared the heavy snow in the driveway last night including a 5' drift behind my wife's car. Streets are cleared, drove to my shop (5 min.) and kept on going. They didn't plow there yet. Have to be careful, the chevy express van I drive sucks in snow. Looks like today is another wash. Naps, youtube boredom. I hear we are getting a little more snow tomorrow

We got about 12" here, no ice. As much as I wanted to stay inside, I battled the elements and cleared snow from my driveway, my neighbors driveways. Thought to myself, why stop there .... so I plowed our street and main road.

Plowed my street.

Plowed the main road from our street

Plowed my friends street and circular driveway

Almost forgot, shoveled my walkway from the driveway to front door. Didn't want anyone to think I was lazy.
I am not knocking the size of your plow, because I don't even have one, but holy shit!! How long did all of that take you?

The stock plow blade on it is almost 5' wide, 54" to be exact. This past year I squeezed the tractor in the garage with the other three vehicles. The plan in the near future is to install plow wings to make the overall width, 6'.

I plow six driveways on my street. All the driveway are around 2,100 sq. ft. (30'x70')
Each driveway takes between 10 to 15 minutes, so about 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours.

My buddy with the mansion, his driveway is twice the size, so around 30 minutes for his.
In total, 2 hours for driveways. The last 4 hours was plowing roads. I can make one pass on the roads in about an hour, however, I spent 3-1/2 to 4 hours plowing the roads over and over.

People have to get their Starbucks coffee before the roads are plowed so the compact down the snow making it a bit harder to remove. It just takes multiple passes. My tractor, and many others have a feature call "float mode". When activated the blade doesn't excert downward pressure, reducing undue wear on the blade wear bar, and hydraulic system. I could plow that packed snow easily if I didn't use float mode. I chose to use it to preserve my machine. The people I do this for could care less if I break my equipment. Hell, I don't even get a hot chocolate or a thank you while out there working.

I do it trying to be a good person. The reward I get is from myself.
