I NEED 2001 FORD F 250 FACTORY STEEL WHEEL COLOR CODE

I painted my Uncle's 2001 Ford F 250 last fall and he brought me 4 rims yesterday that need blasted and painted but I can not find a paint code anywhere for them, I would really appreciate it if you guys could point me in the right direction? I am going to blast, Epoxy and color and was wandering if the rims get clear coat?

A good jobber should be able to look it up for you, but I normally just use a fine metallic toner unless it has to be restoration show car correct. They are not cleared from the factory, but I shoot them BC/CC for ease of cleaning. If you don't want them shiny like factory, you could use matte clear or add some flattening agent to your regular clear.

I am thinking of just shooting the rims with SPI gray epoxy, My Uncle said he wants gray so I think that would be the best way for me to go? Any thoughts?

Let it induce 4 hrs. or more for UV protection. It will be more chip resistant than anything else

On my 61 i shot the steelies in grey epoxy. It was a real close match to the dash color.

Yeah, and worst case if he doesn't like it you have a good foundation to spray base on and won't need much for coverage.
