Humidity Limits

I'm about ready to spray some SPI base and clear. I live south of Houston where the humidity is unpredictable especially at this time of the year. In general, what humidity level should I avoid spraying in? Thanks

My input- sprayed a door & fender 2 weeks ago in humid FL. Wanted to use up quick activator & did. Every run's loaded with pinholes even after blocking.
Sprayed other door fender same conditions weeks prior, same activator BUT i added more then enough retarder to equal very slow activator & had more runs. No pinholes.

Being from FL as well I can say from my experience I have sprayed outside in all months of the year under a tent and never had any issues using slow activator and slow reducer.

you can spray in any humidity but the higher it is the slower the act and reducers are needed. also higher humidity really makes clear kick off faster and harder. universal clear buffs like butter but i have sprayed it in really humid conditions where in 24 hrs it buffs like concrete.

Jim interesting. Old guy i know painted his caddy with vacuum many yrs ago said he ran water over it to harden quicker.
Reminds me of my mother & sis when i was young putting painted fingernails under running water.

So now i know it's not me why i need to add a smidge of reducer to the rest of what i don't put in cup even though i keep a lid on it & use within 10min of mixing. Always humid. It's dryer in Ew York on a rainy day. Cold beer with air on sweats within seconds lol.

I have sprayed when it was raining outside (not often here in Arizona) and actually got a cleaner paint job due to the reduced dust in the air.
However, I always you slow activators and reducers. Mainly because I am slow. LOL
