How Long before Single Stage

Looks kike the recommendations for epoxy sealer have changed from 2 hour wait to 6 hour wait before top coat. I mixed 1:1:1 epoxy using 870 medium reducer. I'm going on top with PPG Single Stage white. Shop is 72 degrees. Is 2 hours going to be OK??

I think I have my answer. Looks like it will be OK to let the sealer sit overnight, then denib, then topcoat with DCC. That 1:1:1 did lay down pretty flat. Coverage wasn't too terrific. Had to overlap a lot to get decent coverage in one coat. Is that normal???

If it's the white epoxy it's not unusual to have to shoot two light coats instead of a single heavier one, on the plus side that helps with the final finish, nice and flat like you mentioned.

The coverage is great with the black, gray is good too, better than white.

Oh , Plus I just saw a booger that I have to fix. Looks like a nice big fat blob of sweat dropped right in.

Just curious on where you saw that? I pulled this from the current tech manual...
To use as a Paint Sealer: To use the epoxy as a paint sealer, reduce it 5-50% with the proper temperature range urethane reducer (this is very important) and spray with your base/clear gun. Spray one wet coat ONLY, let it sit 2 hours then apply paint. For sealing of a potential problem paint job, apply two coats of epoxy with proper flash times between coats and let it sit over night before painting. Remember, reducing epoxy speeds up the cure time, so when mixed as a sealer the best application of base is within 2-18 hours (no sanding is needed within this time frame).
