We’re using HOK Organic Green KBC to spray the wagon, as shown in the sprayout sample in the video. This is intended to be sprayed over a black. Our sample was sprayed over black SPI epoxy. Would I see better results/matching/etc by spraying over a black urethane or base coat instead of directly on the epoxy?

Personally I'd doubt it would be enough difference to even detect between epoxy & black base, though definitely would record it for others in future to do the same procedure for touchups.

Although they say it's intended to be sprayed over black that is just a suggestion really. You could spray it over any complimentary color, it would just have a different effect. If it looks as good in person as it does in your video I say go for it. Only issue could be repairability by someone else in the future. Using a black basecoat could give a slightly different effect. Knowing you though Robert you will have everything well documented so that shouldn't be an issue. I like it, looks very good.

as these guys said, you wont see a difference. the black epoxy is a fine base for it. thats what i would be spraying it over. just be sure to get enough down so you have solid pearl coverage which by the video i would say you have achieved that.
