Gun angle

I've had some time to kill, so the last few days I've just been looking around at what others are doing, and I'm surprised at the gun angle of some high end painters. This guy is the painter for the Ring Brothers, they do a lot of the work themselves but they do have a painter, and maybe other help?????

Never heard of them before.

To me, developing a good spraying technique requires consistency. From epoxy primer all the way to the clear coat application, I try to use the same gun angle, distance and overlap. Speed may change a bit but everything else needs to be programmed into your muscle memory.

I used to scratch my head at things like this as well. I learned to spray and do things a certain way and always felt like that standard was the end all be all. And everytime I seen someone go outside of those parameters it always annoyed me and made me think "what the heck are they doing". But some of those guys ended up with some of the best end results Ive ever seen. So now (unless something is just a blatant no no that sacrifices quality or longevity) I just let the finished product be the determining factor.
