Gone Riding

Hi all,
Leaving tomorrow for a 4700 mile motorcycle ride.
Traveling north to Loveland, CO and the west to the California coats just above San Fransico. From there north along the coast line to Washington and then east to Montana, South through Yellowstone Wyoming and then back home again.
Should be back around the 18th of July.
Jim

Have a great trip, stay safe and snap a few pics to show us along the way.

Nice what do you ride? My last trip to Colorado last fall.

68,

Not that I get out of the forest and into town that often, but I'll keep an eye out for you on the southern Oregon coast when I do.

Perhaps you can spare a few minutes to offer pointers on my next restoration? lol

Got back last night, safe and sound.
First time up the coast of Oregon and it was an incredible ride. Went north to Aberdeen, Washington and then east to Butte Montana.
Rode just over 1000 miles yesterday to get home. The weather was great, the scenery fantastic and I just felt like riding a little longer and then a little longer. LOL

I envy you the trip Jim. Barb's health required us to sell the bike 3-4 years ago but we lived in Vancouver, Wa for 3 years and the bike trips we took and the things we got to see out there were absolutely fantastic. So much so that when we moved back to Tennessee, we rode the bike back to the west coast. We spent 23 days on the road avoiding all interstates and had a ball.

Did you take I-70 from Denver through Grand Junction and into Utah or did you head north from Loveland to Cheyenne and then west?

I've been to the Oregon coast a few times and it is a beautiful place.

I have a dirt bike that I haven't ridden in almost a year. Working on my truck is my favorite thing to do now.

We ended up varying from our original plan to head north out of Loveland. Instead we went west on I-80 to the Bogeda Bay, California. (Deliberately avoiding San Fransisco)
The guys I was riding with both had to cut short their trip and wanted to spend the most time on the west coast. Rode the coast line up to Crescent City, California together and then they headed out their separate ways. I continued up the coast to Aberdeen, WA and then cut over on US-12 East.

John,
I am sure you are familiar with US-12 then. I rode that all the way to Montana and what a splendid ride it was.
People think I'm crazy but riding is so enjoyable to me that I cannot seem to get enough.

Yup, I know of nothing more relaxing. I was so blessed that my wife loved to ride as much as I did. We have some great memories for sure.

If you road Hwy 12 all the way to Montana, you saw some beautiful scenery for sure. How many miles did you cover total?
