FLUID TIP SIZING WITH 2K PRIMERS,What are you runnin?

Time and Time again You see the guy thinning his 2k to run out of a 1.8 or smaller gun...Why are people not buying 2.0 to begin with..I know that fluid tip size is not easy to find,The 2.5 is easier to find but I think that is way to big unless some one could enlighten me about the 2.5's..Can you get great results turning down the fluid flow?..I think your primer gun should be as good as your clear gun..It gets used more but it seems people cheap out on them..I am after a Balleria 2.0...Would I be happy with the 2.5? tell me i'm nuts and why? What are you using?

My SATA 100B RP in 1.8 sprays a bit smoother and with higher build than my Iwata LPH-300 1.8 tip. I suspect the SATA is more like an 2.0, they always run bigger than what they claim. For doing big jobs I use the SATA, smaller jobs where you’re trying to keep the primer area as small as possible for color blending the LPH-300 works really good.

vaper makes a 1.8 -2.0-2.3 . 45 bucks . i refuse to pay top dollar for a primer gun . i also want as little reducer as i can get by with. but then i dont use urethane primer so i use the 2.3 .

Are you thinning down high build with that Sata at all?

I've been shooting a lot of unreduced regular 2K and I was using a Devilbiss FLG3 gun with a 1.8 tip, but found it challenging to get a wet coat unless I went very slow and that made it hard to be consistent.

I switched to a 2.2 tip and it made a world of difference, gun speed was faster and finish much smoother and consistent.

Note I am a hobbyist with limited experience.
