First time posting and I have a silly question

I will soon be working on getting my truck ready for paint. While I spend hours taking everything down and getting it in primer I keep struggling with a question in my head. Can SPI base be tinted? I’m a newb to color so please excuse my ignorance. The plan with the truck is to take it all the way down and start with epoxy. I’ve got a few panels stripped down to metal and getting it all in epoxy and ready for the body work. The original color is gm 503 green and I need to start deciding on which base to use. Any recommendations or ideas are much appreciated. I’d prefer to stick with SPI if possible as I don’t have a local paint shop not would I trust them.

there are plenty of online sources you can use. You give the coating store GM 503 and they will make it in either single stage or base clear.

Yeah I understand that, what I am asking is can SPI base be used to make the 503 code?
Done every day with restorers.
Go to a paint store and example
Say if ppg print gallon code for 503.
Then have them put all the tints in a quart can except the white.
Dip approximately the half quart or so and save, dump tints in white and you got it.

It goes by weight on the base as well right? It should all weigh up to be C amount of grams? This is perfect! I can sleep well at night now, been racking my brain on this one.....
