Euro or Production

I've never tried either one. Lately I've been doing mostly tractor restorations (they tend to take a lot of product). I'm just about out of Universal, so I'm thinking of options. Will I notice any differences? Will switching be worth the savings? I suppose I could (and maybe should) be using single stage on a lot of the cast iron parts. I haven't priced it. The last quart of Motobase I got was $115 (Ford Tractor Blue).

anything tractor related should generally be a single stage. if you have an akzo jobber nearby have them mix you your colors in utech. its a great ss without killing your wallet. i use alot of the u500 around here. durable as hell and looks decent. i have never used production clear so i cant comment on that.

Last time I did a tractor I used SS and put the matching clear from the same system over it wet-on-wet. Seems to give the best of both worlds. The autos I have done this way have been pretty durable.

There are good SS paints out there that can be used this way with SPI clear, but @Barry would know better which ones.

When using large quantities of material, Euro is my choice simply because it is the best value ounce per sprayable ounce, and it's a damn good clear also.
