Doing the cowl of my Mustang, took forever to scuff all those nooks and crannies around the vents, don't want to have to do it again.

Sprayed it with reduced epoxy sealer at 10 AM today, Sunday. 6 oz primer 6 oz activator, closest I could get to 1.2 oz reducer.

I have a few spots I need to sand, still doesn't want to sand nice, grabbing the paper, balling up, now at almost 8 hours later. Garage is heated to about 70 degrees. I really don't want to be out there top coating it late tonight. Tech manual says 18 hours max, which would put me at 4 am. I'd prefer to wait for "regular morning for me, which would be 8-9 am, to sand it and spray the single stage urethane topcoat. Will that be too late?

How often should I go out there to see if it wll sand normally? I don't need to sand much, just some dirt, was trying with 600 paper, tried dry so far.

At 10 % reduced I personally wouldn't worry about sanding anytime before 48 hrs I'm sure barry will chime in if it was 50% or more I'd say 18 hrs

Your fine for the morning. 24hrs no worries. Over that start using slower reducers so the bc syays wet longer and bites in. If it goes well beyond 24hra then simply shoot another reduced coat of epoxy rigjt before base. No sanding needed

By the time I got everything sanded and cleaned off, I just made it under 24 hours, lol. Top coat looks beautiful, I hope it's stuck on there. In this picture you can see the biggest piece of trash that ended up in there.
